The inspiration behind this piece came about while watching a documentary on The Science Channel, and has since become one of my favorite pieces to make. The Supernova Necklace is based on its namesake-or, my interpretations of what a supernova would manigest as in jewelry form.

This necklace measures 18" and includes a lobster clasp connection. Center of the pendant is a hematite round and 1.125" long. Hematite may be switched for a freshwater pearl in black, white, peach, or grey.Pendant back ground is etched using a wallpaper image to mimic the star exploding in all directions.
Sterling silver jump rings are woven together in half byzantine, half 2-2 weave.
If Hematite is not your favorite, you can change the round to a freshwater pearl in the following colors: black, white, peach and grey.
Supernova Necklace
Protect your jewelry by removing it when washing your hands, swimming, exercising, cleaning, and before applying any kind of personal body product. To clean, use a soft toothbrush and warm water with a small amount of mild soap (we love Dawn original). Follow up with the polishing cloth. To maintain the beautiful shine and unique finish of your jewelry, store it in a sealed plastic bag away from heat, humidity and moisture. Always wear your rubber and metal safety backs with your earrings to prevent loss.
